Team DSM coach Albert Timmer: “We have a good team starting in Italy, with a nice mix of youth and experience. Liane has started the year in great form and the rest of the team will support her throughout the day and onto the finish climb. Normally the race ends with a big bunch approaching the San Luca climb together before the best climber takes honours at the end of the race, and that’s what we’ll aim to set Liane up for. Last year she finished in fifth place and as a team we’ll be aiming for a higher placing this season.”
