Team DSM coach Sebastian Deckert: “We arrive at Omloop Mandel-Leie-Schelde Meulebeke with a motivated team that are ready to race. The flat circuit means that it is usually a very fast day in the saddle, with high speeds throughout the race. Normally the race ends in a bunch sprint finish but we will need to be attentive if there are strong winds because of the possibility of echelons. If the race does end in a bunch sprint finish then the team will give their all to position Edo for a good result in the finale. Leon and Ben also return to the team after racing for their national squads at the Tour de l’Avenir.”
