Team DSM coach Marcel Sieberg: “The ZLM Tour is traditionally a race for the sprinters and it usually has a well-occupied start list with a lot of good fast men on it. We bring a very strong team to the race as well; with Sam as our designated finisher, John and Nils who come from a High Altitude Team Camp, and a strong supporting cast around them. The wind and weather like always can play a big role in the Netherlands, but looking at the profiles, then we could see sprint finishes on most days at the race. The third stage takes place on parts of the parcours from the Amstel Gold Race and we expect this to be the deciding stage for the GC and we have different options to play for this day.”
