Rider Q and A

Q&A with Søren Kragh Andersen

Newsletter

This month we asked you on our social media channels if you had any questions for Søren Kragh Andersen. Before racing E3 Saxo Bank Classic and Gent – Wevelgem, Søren sat down to answer four of them!

Q: What kind of parcours are your favourite weapon?

A: I am at my best when there has been a hard race on rolling terrain, attacking and going solo to the finish as I did in the 2020 Tour de France. That is my favourite kind of racing and I hope for more of it this year!

Q: What are your goals for this year?

A: My first goals are the Ardennes classics, we believe that they fit me better as a rider and that we can go for a result there. I’m looking forward to switching things up a bit and seeing the results!

Q: How does it feel coming back home after being abroad, training with your team and competing?

A: It is always nice to come back home and relax. Racing can be very intense and being at home gives you a moment to process all that and switch off a little. Of course, you need to train but it is nice to be at home and enjoy the calmness.

Q: What do you prefer downhill or uphill?

A: I prefer downhill as I don’t have to push so hard as uphill! Although you can enjoy the view when you go uphill.
