Rider Q and A

Q&A with Casper van Uden

This month we asked you on our social media channels if you had any questions for Casper van Uden. Finding some time in his busy off-season schedule, Casper sat down to answer our favourite ones!

Q: Who or what inspires you the most in your career?

A: The person within cycling that inspires me a lot is Chris Froome. I think he’s one of the most mentally strong riders and the amount of dedication he has is really inspiring and very special.

Q: Favourite race you’ve done?

A: Ooh, it’s hard to say what my favourite race is so far but I think it is a race where there was a lot of fans and crowd, so probably the World Championships this year. The atmosphere was really good, the amount of people and noise was incredible; it just gives you goosebumps.

Q: What race would you most like to win in the future?

A: The race I would most like to win is probably the World Championships. Being able to then ride in that rainbow jersey for a year is something that is really amazing and special.

Q: How many Warzone wins do you have? (asked by fellow cyclist Lars Boven!)

A: I actually don’t know how many Warzone wins I have! I think around 20? Me and my friends mostly play the Rebirth game mode and there I don’t really for the wins either. I mostly enjoy it to play with my friends and talk to each other and have a laugh, which is good fun

Q: What kind of hair products do you use?

A: I use two types of hair products! I use volume cream because my hair is quite straight so I use that to get some volume in it, and then I also sometimes use some hair wax to then make sure it sits right but of course when you’re on the bike with your helmet on, it doesn’t matter too much!
