The Simac Ladies Tour were back on their time trial bikes once again today for stage two, where a 22 kilometre time trial awaited them. Taking place on an almost pan-flat parcours, the riders would leave the start line in Gennep before reaching the half way point and make the turn back. With very few corners, the traditional style out-and-back course was one that would suit the powerful TT specialists.
With an eye on tomorrow’s stage Julia Soek, Susanne Andersen and Megan Jastrab didn’t take any risks out on course, while Leah Kirchmann, Pfeiffer Georgi and Lorena Wiebes all set solid times at the finish. It was Georgi that would set the team’s best time, stopping the clock after 22 minutes and 23 seconds of all-out racing, ending the day in a solid 14th place.
