Tim Naberman sprints to 12th at Ster van Zwolle

Ster van Zwolle

Tim Naberman was the first over the line for Development Team DSM in 12th place having made the select front group of around 30 riders at the one day Ster van Zwolle race in The Netherlands. His teammate Casper van Uden also made the selection, finishing 24th on the day.

The early part of the race was defined by a solo attack from Tim Marsman out front with over two minutes advantage on the peloton for some time before being joined by two riders on the counter attack. Their lead was eventually reeled back as a behind a front group formed in pursuit containing Naberman and van Uden.

Once all back together, none of the attacks off the front of the group stuck and the win was fought out in a small bunch sprint from which Naberman finished just outside the top 10.

Team DSM Coach Rudi Kemna commented after the finish: “Today we made a good impression on the race as a team but we not quite sharp enough as the most important and critical moment of the race. After a crash we rode too much as individuals but it was a good race for the learning process and one we can use to improve on our teamwork going forward.”
