Adam is a new face in the team for 2023 as he makes the step up from juniors and joins the U23 ranks with Development Team DSM. Hailing from a cycling family with both his dad and granddad passionate about bikes, it took until Adam was ten years old before he swung his leg over the saddle for the first time; previously trying his hand at a variety of sports including gymnastics, tennis, and even some minigolf.
Entering the mud-pit so to say, Adam first took on some cyclocross and slowly transitioned more into road racing where he combined the two – as he fell more in love with the sport.
“I enjoy the freedom cycling gives. From my home I can go out on the bike, leave the city, and enjoy nature, and clear my head.”
Climbing his way up the ranks, 2021 was a “surprisingly good year” by his own accounts as he took several good results, but an unfortunate case of Covid and a longer than expected recovery hindered Adam’s 2022 campaign. Nonetheless, it has left him “incredibly motivated” to get stuck in with the team going forward.
