Now into his fourth year with Team DSM’s Development program, Enzo has established himself as a strong rouleur and barodeur – and someone that has been pivotal in several of the team’s wins throughout the past seasons; often doing the unseen work in races – something that he has found rewarding.
Yet, as a self-described “very competitive person”, Enzo also aims to continue to make steps and show himself more in the finale of races where he wants to be an option for the team to go for the win.
Taking a step back to his youth, Enzo, like many young Dutch people, got into the sport by seeing his older sister and father ride their bikes and from that he was introduced to his local club team at around the age of ten. Before beginning his journey on two wheels, Enzo was focused on two blades and was a good young speed skater, but he soon decided to hang up his skates and go all-in on the bike – loving the “thrill and adrenaline rush”.
