Combining track and road throughout his career so far, Frederik makes the full switch to becoming a professional “roadie” with the team in 2022. Successful on the boards, Frederik was part of the Olympic medal winning Danish Team Pursuit teams at both Rio in 2016 and Tokyo in 2021.
Clearly a driven and highly motivated individual, the well-spoken Frederik fell in love with the sport in the same way as a lot of people: by watching the Tour de France with his dad before going along to attend a session at the local bike club. Hooked from there, Frederik’s passion for the sport only increased as the years progressed, although he jokes that there might a more masochistic reason behind it all:
Joining some familiar faces with former teammates Andreas [Leknessund] and Jonas [Iversby Hvideberg], plus friend Casper [Pedersen], Frederik is ready to “get stuck into road racing with the team, learn from those around him and make the next steps.”
When he’s not competing all over the world, you can find Frederik taking his mind off cycling by playing lots of different sports, with table tennis a particular favourite of his recently.
