Now into his fourth season with the team, Jai made yet another step up in level last year with his highlight performance being a phenomenal second place on GC at the Giro d’Italia, his first top ten in a Grand Tour, let alone first podium.
Jai has rode his bike for most of his life and can’t imagine doing any other sport or his life without two wheels.
Despite being so laidback that he is almost horizontal, Jai is also incredibly motivated and driven to improve, stating that he doesn’t know what his limit is on the bike and that he wants to keep going until he finds it. Having been with the team since turning pro, the Aussie feels at home.
Looking ahead, Jai wants to keep developing as a GC rider and improve his consistency throughout the year. He also aims to “get his arms in the air” once again, no matter the race.
Off the bike you can find him watching some original The Simpsons episodes, relaxing, catching up with friends or going out for food in Girona with its “good weather and vibes.”
