Strong all-rounder Jasha was another new face to the team in 2020, with the German joining Team DSM after spending all of his professional career before that in Spain. Excited for a new challenge, Jasha hopes to improve in his favourite races with the team, the classics.
Hailing from a cycling family, two-wheeled sports are in Jasha’s blood with his grandfather a cyclist and his dad competing for Germany at the Mexico Olympics. However, Jasha initially wanted to play football but after some persuading from his dad, he took up cycling under the pretence that if he didn’t like it then he could try football. The rest as they say is history and he has been racing his bike ever since.
Confident and outgoing, Jasha is also a good team player and enjoys working together with others for one common goal, something that he thinks will fit well with the team’s ethos. Someone that doesn’t like to “stand still”, the German rider continuously seeks ways to get better.
In his downtime Jasha likes to spend time with family and friends, relax with his girlfriend or you can find him on one of his local mountain bike trails.
