The former German road race champion continued her development with the team in 2020, with the punchy Liane picking up several good results throughout the year, including a win at the Cadel Evans Road Race and taking the title as the best young rider in the UCI Women’s World Tour. All of which she attributed to working hard in the off-season.
Still only young, Liane remains motivated by seeing herself get better each year and sharing success with the team; whether that be her or her teammates crossing the line first. Furthermore, the team aspect of the sport and the way the riders and staff work together is important to Liane.
Hoping to continue her development, Liane aims to improve overall as cyclist step-by-step by learning from the rest of the team and listening to advice and guidance from the team’s experts.
Away from the bike you can find Liane socialising with friends and “doing normal stuff”, or out for a long walk with her family and dogs, Bonnie and Coco.
